Starting from being an event organizer consultant, hired by ILO (International Labour Organization), LT Journey entering the new world called Poncokusumo. We stayed there for 2 (two) months for gathering locally people and community to hold such an event, who can show to the people the progress of some ILO's program to develop.
Then we worked together with locally community to plan, prepare and arrange such as a huge event, named Gelar Karsa Poncokusumo, on Rest Area, Gubug Klakah village, for 5 (five) days, December, 2 - 6, 2009. Attended by about 100 (eighty) guest of ILO, came from out countries, members of one of ILO program, Local Economic Development, had to join the Seminar, held on Malang, December 1 - 3, 2009. Not only that we estimated that totally people who attended was about 1,500 people from kabupaten Malang and surroundings on the first day.
We did several events inside the big event, one of them is Poncokusumo Bike Trekking, the 1st. And be attended 40 (forty) persons from Surabaya and surroundings and it has been reached by 2 weeks notice or promotion only, because a help of a cycling club, named D'bluzz from Surabaya (special thanks to om Agus, om Rosy and others).

The attenders were coming into the venue a night before (December 5, 2009) and stay at the locally people's houses, and also took the same meals or menu with the owner, so they could taste the traditional locally hospitality which can difficult to accept on other place and it seems to be LT Journey characteristic for staying, we won't take the attenders to the hotel or others but in locally people houses, every place or village we do the event at Poncokusumo.
Why ? Because the reason of it is not only for making a unique one of LT Journey but also give a little bit contribution to the locally community, where the event was being held, and so we can go through together in happiness, the attenders or members, the event organizer and the locally community or people.
After took the dinner a night before by traditional menu also, light breakfast, the attenders started to ride in the morning, at 8 am, to the long track. And we gave an extra feeding such as traditional menu of Poncokusumo and drinking water bottle in the middle of the track.
Finishing the ridings, the attenders were taking the lunch on finishing point at rest area of Gubug Klakah village, and again, took the traditional menu. And all finished at 12.00 am. This track have been taken on Wonorejo, Simpar and Gubug Klakah villages and took about 28,5 kilometers far. But the track conditions was not balance, too much road tracks, too much uphill track and dangerous jungle track, so that could make most of the attenders were not comfort on riding.
And we kept as a bad side that we have to exchange and provide better for the next event, and we did it on the second event, on Jarak Ijo, Ngadas, Poncokusumo.
